Senior Developer

Provisioned platform architecture for a greenfield microservice based pipeline unifying event-driven customer, user, and business data across multiple connectors, using a system-wide canonical data model. Stack: Go, NodeJS, NestJS, Next.js, TypeScript, Terraform, Docker, GCP.
Architected and provisioned GCP infrastructure using Terraform IaC and Docker, laying the platform foundation for the majority of services supporting the pipeline.
Laid the foundation for, and built a new gateway service to our WMS in Go. Included with advanced metrics, endpoints, etc. Partially extending our defined Typescript canonical models into Go.
Built a connector to download, parse, and manage CSV/JSON files from an SFTP server; including server provisioning and customer permissioning, canonicalising data before feeding it into the fulfillment platform.
Designed and delivered a Shopify connector (TypeScript, NodeJS, Terraform) to parse customer orders into the fulfillment platform, extending the same canonical data model used across other connectors.
Built a configuration service and internal UI enabling support staff to manage customer connector settings, view transaction history, and replay failed records; reducing manual intervention for failed events.
Mentored and onboarded new engineers as the team scaled from 3 to 5, acting as their primary point of contact during ramp-up.

Software Engineer

Played a key part in the development of the cross-platform integration unifying Dotdigital and Fresh Relevance following the 2023 acquisition.
Designed and built a shared event pipeline (using Azure Event Hubs and a Protobuf schema) to unify user event collection and processing across two systems built on different stacks (.NET, Javascript, TypeScript, NodeJS), enabling Dotdigital customers to access Fresh Relevance’s personalisation. This includes both Frontend, and Backend related work.

Collaborated across engineering, product, and business teams to plan and deliver new features for a large-scale e-commerce personalisation platform (React, TypeScript, Python, Django, MongoDB).

Contributed to the planning and development of an on-site content editor, enabling clients to build and deploy personalised, cross-channel experiences in real time.
